History

In 1986, one of the culinary schools in Arizona, Scottsdale Culinary Institute was created through the vision of Elizabeth Sherman Leite as she combined her solid educational background, experience, and zeal for properly prepared cuisine.

Scottsdale Culinary Institute rapidly built an international reputation of excellence, drawing students from throughout the United States and around the world.

In 1998, Scottsdale Culinary Institute proudly became a part of the Career Education Corporation (CEC). CEC is dedicated to building a network of career schools that are internationally recognized for the quality of their education and ability to place graduating students in positions within their chosen fields.

In 1999, world renowned Le Cordon Bleu arrived in the United States. Its partnership with Scottsdale Culinary Institute now combines classical French techniques with cutting-edge American technology. This union has ushered in a new era of culinary arts in the world.
